It is the mission of the Port Perry Artists’ Association to:

 

Promote and provide opportunities for the artistic growth of members and the community at large by encouraging an interest in, and knowledge of, fine arts.

 

Provide the opportunity for members to sell their original fine art in PPAA art shows and venues.

 

Promote the PPAA within the community and surrounding area.

 

Provide bursaries to aspiring student artists.

 

Provide a creative and respectful environment with all members contributing time and talents.

           

 

For the purposes of the PPAA, fine art is defined as art practiced for its aesthetic value and beauty rather than its functional value, created by the physical hand unaided by technology.  Acceptable media include oil, acrylic, watercolour, encaustic, pastel, pencil, ink, paper and mixed media.
