Artist Bio
I can’t believe that it has already been 20 plus years since I started painting. It all began when I retired to Prince Edward Island. Living on the Island was a unique experience and a time I hold dear. The people are very friendly, and the scenery is made just for painters - anywhere you look, there is inspiration. I took up painting as a hobby to spend time with friends, primarily using acrylic paints as my medium. I quickly progressed to attending classes with experienced teachers who expanded my knowledge of painting. Years later, I relocated to Ontario with my family where I began experimenting with oil paintings. Now, I work with acrylic in the house and use oil when painting in plein air. I enjoy capturing scenery, water and nature in my work.
Ocean, ships and nature are my favorite subjects. A ship gliding through the ocean brings memories of salty air and long summer days - no matter how chilly it is outside!
Some people express their feelings using words, others with music. I use my brush to show what I feel.
