Michelle Pashko

Artist Bio
I'm Michelle Pashko, a Canadian artist based in Caesarea, Ontario — living lakeside, surrounded by the wildlife and landscapes that inspire every brushstroke.
My work is rooted in a deep love for the natural world. Growing up on a farm in rural Ontario in the 70s and 80s, I was immersed in a world of wildflowers, changing seasons, and the quiet beauty that blooms when you slow down enough to notice it. That sense of wonder has never left me.
The Work
I paint primarily in acrylic using impasto techniques — thick, expressive brushwork that gives each piece a dimensional, tactile quality you can almost feel. I also work with alcohol inks, which bring a fluid, luminous energy to wildlife portraits and abstract backgrounds. Many pieces combine both, layering rich texture with vibrant, flowing colour.
My subjects range from the majestic — wolves, cougars, herons, eagles — to the quietly beautiful: wildflower fields, lily ponds, cottage country sunsets. Each painting tells a story.
